This charity book, The Brink of Disaster, published by Obverse Books is the latest in their run of charity books. They have helped a number of charities so far, particularly over the past few years, food banks in the UK. It's possible that I may have had something to do this some stories in this book but I confirm nothing, na matter how big the thumbscrews are... you can get the book here.

Later this year, I'll have these books coming out. I've been spending a lot of time with my nose in an old Guinness Book of Hit Singles lately, while blasting old music on the headphones. Got to love it.

I said this was going to be a busy year, didn't I? Well today, the titles of the new range of Tomorrow People books were announced. Among them is my book (which will be the second in the range - the picture here is of the first) and mine is called (drum-roll please...) Children of the Evolution.
Really looking forward to more details of these books coming out.

This is going to be a busy year. I have a lot of books coming out this year and I am looking forward to spilling the beans on them soon.
However, the first book I have published this year has just been announced. It's The Raccoons - The One That Got Away. It's based on the animated TV series from the 90s. It's a lovely show. It has plenty of humour, lots of heart and it has a solid ecological message, which feel particularly appropriate now.
This story is about pollution in rivers which is definitely a subject that needs discussion. Ireally enjoyed writing this. I got to go for lots of gags in this one, so there's silliness and fun alogside the plot.
There will be three books published in March 2024 by Candy Jar Books. John Peel amd Chris McGuire are the authors of the other two, whose coat tails I'm riding on.
The official announcement is here.
September 15th, 2023Last year I was ill. Really ill. So I didn't write anything for over 6 months. This year, on the other hand, has been the busiest year I've had in ages. There's been a real diversity in the projects I've been offered, working in five different mediums and a mixture of well known IPs and original material. It's great, and being able to work has been a real boost for me. I feel so much more like myself being able to just sit and get on with telling stories. And for those who have asked for an update on my health... a) thank you for being kind enough to ask and b) I'm improving, thank you. I'm still well short of 100% but I'm feeling grand, thank you, and I'm loving the work I'm doing.
August 30th, 2023First bit of news on this shiny new site is that I have a short story in the next Iris Wildthyme anthology from Obverse Books, Locked in Space.
My story is The Crazy Old Coot in the Cupboard and features some familiar faces - and voices. I shall say no more than that. From the Obverse website: It’s been a while, hasn’t it? But finally, Iris is back! Edited by Stewart Sheargold, Locked in Space, finds Iris stuck in the Bus, as a pestilence which only affects time travellers rages in the Universe outside (why, yes, we are always right on the ball when it comes to reflecting what’s happening in contemporary society!).Of course, the Bus is famously smaller on the inside than it looks on the outside, but that’s never stopped a writer with imagination, has it? PUBLISHED OCTOBER 2023 IN LIMITED EDITION HARDBACK! Details can be found here: https://obversebooks.co.uk/product/11-locked-in-space/
